Spanish clubS
When joining one of the clubs, learners will benefit from:
Learning in a small Spanish conversation group (each club will have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6).
‘OROS’
(KS1-KS3)
This club offers an introduction to the Spanish language, where students will learn basic vocabulary and grammar structures related to themes such as Spanish greetings and introductions, personal descriptions, numbers, food, weather and seasons, school, family, house and home and free time.
‘BASTOS’
(KS4-GCSE)
The Spanish club ‘Bastos’ is mainly focus on developing skills for the new Spanish GCSE Speaking and Writing exams. Both exams and questions are set based on the three broad themes (i.e. ‘Identity and culture’, ‘Wales and the World – areas of interest’ and ‘Current and future study and employment’).
‘ESPADAS’
(KS5-AS/A2)
The Spanish club ‘Espadas’ is mainly focused on developing skills for the Spanish AS/A2 speaking assessment units (unit 1 & 3). Also, it aims to enable students to use language spontaneously and establish interactive communication by asking and expressing personal thoughts, points of view and feelings.
‘COPAS’
(Adult learners)
This club provides a rare opportunity for adult learners to socialise in Spanish and put in practice all they know, while learning from the socio-cultural, political and economic set up of Spanish-speaking countries. Practice you language skills through meaningful interaction with other learners of Spanish.

♣ There are four different types of Spanish conversation groups, which are tailored to the specific student group’s age and language purpose.
♣Sessions are divided by age in order to enable students to interact with their peers and enhance their confidence while learning Spanish.
