🌵Spanish Club Bastos offers a carefully designed progressive pathway in Spanish, supporting students from their first exposure to the language through to a more natural and confident use of it over time. Through 30/60minute small-group sessions with a qualified native Spanish teacher, students experience Spanish in an interactive, meaningful and memorable way.

What it helps with:

- Build confidence speaking Spanish in a supportive environment.
- Consolidate and actively use Spanish through guided practice.
- Develop Spanish speaking skills in a natural and comprehensive way.
- Prepare students for future GCSE Spanish with clear guidance and structured support

A pathway for every stage:

Spanish Foundations (ages 7–12) — becoming familiar with Spanish
For younger learners who are beginning their Spanish journey and need regular exposure through vocabulary, listening, repetition, games and simple interaction.

Spanish Speaking Club (ages 12–14) — building confidence speaking Spanish
For students who already have some contact with Spanish and would benefit from building confidence, consolidating and actively using language, and developing speaking skills through guided conversation, role play and picture description.

GCSE Spanish Course (ages 14–16) — preparing for GCSE success
For students preparing for GCSE Spanish, including external candidates, who would benefit from clear guidance and structured support across the key language skills. The course helps students build confidence, improve fluency and accuracy, and prepare for exam-style interaction in a more focused and supportive way.

Spanish Foundations (7-12): Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays From 16:30 to 17:00
Spanish Speaking Club (12-14): Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays From 17:30 to 18:00
GCSE Spanish Course (14-16): Tuesdays and Thursdays From 17:00 to 18:00

Spanish Foundations: 12-Week Semester membership: £120 ( 30-min session)
Spanish Speaking Club: 12-Week Semester membership: £144 (30-min session)
GCSE Spanish Course: 12-Week Semester membership: £360 (1h session)

- Payment in 2 instalments is available for families who would prefer to spread the cost.
- All memberships end on the last day of the term and are not transferable to the following term. We kindly request that you carefully review our terms and conditions.

Our approach to Spanish Language acquisition.



Our Spanish lessons for children make the most of children’s natural capabilities for learning through the use of a multi-sensory approach which aims to engage both their minds and bodies, building a positive and joyful Spanish language immersive experience.



By using this multi-sensory approach, students will have the opportunity to learn painlessly, and to be engaged in an enjoyable dynamic, inclusive and relevant language program adjusted to their language proficiency and learning needs.



Our Spanish lessons for children in Cardiff are based on the idea that second language acquisition can be enhanced through the use of such as games, music, acting, manual crafts, cooking recipes, competitions, visual aids, picture books and activities incorporating ICT in language educational practices, all of which has proven to be highly effective.
