Our Spanish Language Club for Adult learners.

🏆 Our Spanish Speaking Club Copas is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic learners willing to improve their speaking Spanish language skills in an in person, friendly, social and creative language environment.

☀️Summer term (10-weeks course): starting on the 16h of April 2024
*There won't be a lesson during the week starting on the 27th of May due to the half-term break.

🎯 Aimed at:

Students at Beginner level (A1.1 & A1.2)
Students at Elementary level (A2)
Students at Intermediate level (B1)
Students at Upper Intermediate level (B2)

⏰ When: 10-week semester | 1h-session

Tuesdays:

Group A1: 12:00-13:00 pm
Group A1: 18:00-19:00 pm
Group A1.2: 19:15-20:15 pm

Wednesdays:

Group A1.2: 18:00-19:00 pm
Group A2: 19:15- 20:15 pm

Thursdays:

Group A1: 12:00-13:00 pm
Group B1: 18:00-19:00 pm
Group B2- B2.2: 19:15- 20:15 pm

*If none of these dates work for you, please do not hesitate to tell us by filling up this form. We are open to considering new schedules.

📈 Spanish Club membership fee:

One-week membership: £32/hour
Ten- weeks membership: £26/hour

* Minimum of four students and maximum of eight students per session.

* All pack memberships end on the last day of the term and are not transferable to the following term. We kindly request that you carefully review our terms and conditions

What do we do in the Spanish Club Copas:

Learning and teaching approach: We want you to use wisely and productively your one-hour weekly interaction in Spanish and our main aim is that you speak up! Therefore, in order to prepare for each session, you will be given the vocabulary and structures we will be using in advance. The materials and methodology suggested aim to encourage and stimulate interactive practices such as discussions and reflection in cooperative groups, games and simulations, role plays, empathy-taking activities, personal stories and case studies, visualisations, and imaginative activities.

Coursework and extra online resources provided: It is unlikely to see us correcting homework and gap-filling exercises in class. That’s one hour for you to speak, and the rest, we all can do it at home! During these sessions you will be always given visual support/ speaking mats related to each session's topic conversation. Furthermore, supplementary materials will be uploaded to our online Dropbox file.

How many students will there be in class?

Reduced groups and personalised attention. You will learn in a private, relaxed but professional environment. There is a maximum of eight students per session and we have made sure that each of the members of the club has done a prior assessment to ensure that there is a common language level and learning style

If I miss a session, can I reschedule it for the next term?

Unfortunately, no. All pack memberships conclude on the final day of the term and cannot be carried over to the subsequent term. We kindly ask you to thoroughly review our terms and conditions for more details.

Lighthouse Social: As a member of this club, you will have access to our free monthly meet up at a local tapas bar, connecting with other students at different levels and Spanish native speakers in a real Spanish context. Furthermore, you will have discounts to future workshops organised such as cooking workshops, Spanish food/wine tasting and specific- content workshops.

I highly recommend this company to anyone serious about learning Spanish. The service is very friendly and professional in every way. I took 10 weekly conversational Spanish classes on line with Carmen in order to gain more confidence after some years of not using Spanish.I was unsure of how well the online scenario would work but Carmen is a very intuitive teacher and expertly tailored the classes to my own personal interests and learning style. She always sent feedback and after class notes very promptly through dropbox and her suggestions for further learning were hugely useful. I can personally attest to the quality of this place as lessons are creatively taught through an incredible variety of in lesson games. This, combined with an extensive repertoire of learning material, means lessons never became the "sit there and listen" nightmare you find with lesser quality tutors. The lessons are tailored to you and adapt to your needs and Lighthouse Spanish Academy enabled me to achieve my desired grade with a confidence I doubt I would have without them. While tutors are never a sure-fire way to guarantee a high grade, this place is as close as it gets with its professional and extremely well constructed lessons.

My husband and I have been having Spanish lessons with Lucia and then Lidia for a few months now and the progress we have made has been brilliant. Both teachers have put us at ease and made our lessons really varied and enjoyable and the difference it has made to our confidence and ability has been fantastic. Both Lucia and Lidia are patient and make the lessons fun and varied, with lots of different ways of learning, which suit both myself and my husband who have different learning styles. In recent weeks we have changed tutors to have classes with Lidia and she has taken the time to get to know us on a personal level which is helping us learn how to have conversations about things which are relevant to us. We were slightly daunted at the prospect of starting lessons during COVID but the Lighthouse Spanish team are well equipped for online learning and it hasn't been an issue at all. We would really recommend both Lucia and Lidia to anyone who is thinking about learning Spanish.
